I am a long-time lurker, and I have gained a lot of valuable knowledge from this list, but it is time for me to come out of hiding. I have come to the conclusion that I need to replace the idle stabilizer control, but before I make that kind of investment, I would like your advice. In trouble shooting, I have discovered that the idle returns to normal if the idle stabilzer valve is unplugged, but the temp light blinks <?>. With the valve connected, the temp light does not blink, but the idle goes to 3000-4000 RPM. I have replaced both temp sensors, cleaned and tested the IS valve, and disconnected/reconnected the power steering sensor with no result. Any advice will be appreciated. Melinda. |
