It was not my intent to imply anything underhanded was going on, and I don't think I did. I simply made the observation that having prices on websites, even if you have to add a footnote about overweight shipping etc. is more useful than omitting this information. Here it is 7:00 on a Saturday night, I'm not going to call them and by Monday I might have forgotten about them or, because I have a job too, might find it inconvenient to call. If they are interested in having fulling informed customers, it would help to give folks a ballpark idea of the price ($500? $1000? $1500?). With that I could make a more informed decision about whether this is something I want to follow up on, without taking a chance at wasting my time (and theirs) if I can't afford it.
