I installed a new full set of SA mudflaps on my '87 a couple of years ago. I love them and they look and fit good, but they are just plastic and the supplied installation hardware is not great. I use self-tapping screws thru the inside fender lip to secure mine better. I wouldn't want to lose one, as they're kind of pricey.

A question on mud flaps. I have an '86 Westy. The original mud flaps are long gone.

I would like flaps that fit 'conventionally' at the rear of the wheel openings. I see some vendors have these. They are listed as South African style.

Does anyone have suggestions or recommendations about these or other units?

Best Regards

Dave
