Pull the two pieces of the hose off the fitting. and fit the two hose ends together with a brass gasline coupling, using clamps, running it underneath the metal firewall piece - not that it's a REAL firewall. That bloody piece is prbolematic and best eliminated altogether. I did it. Tie off the hose after the repair so there is no chafing.
