yes, jacked up on at least the right rear.
Never get under any vehicle supported only by a jack of course. ( ! )

all you need to do is get both hoses off the thing .........the engine side,
and the 'other side of the firewall' side.
Then..........
join the hose from the engine directly to the black plastic 'pipe' that
comes from the fuel pump.
That pipe is clipped up high under there, so  undo that clip so it can take
a lower route directly to the engine fuel hose.


lastly, remove the offending part.
I read that people like to run the hose through the existing hole with a
rubber grommet.
What I am always looking for is........the most reliability, and making it
easy to work on.
There's no reason to go through that hole......and it could just facilitate
wear on the hose anyway ....
so just run it under the lower edge of the firewall there- it's the more
natural route anyway.
