I drove one of my Vanagons with noisy CV joints for years until I finally could not bear with it. In my opinion you should be able to make it home as is. You may be able to drive without problems for a much longer time. You have plenty of time to take care of it with quality CV parts back home. You can do it yourself if you want to save money.
