its a bmw engine, not that underpowered, about 120hp but the vehicle
is light and aerodynamic.
some issues that vanagon owners know, namely cooling and brakes, as
well as tranny. The stock renault tranny's first gear is too high for
a comfortable start on a grade. recommended to regear for $$$$. brakes
get upgrade to air brakes, another $2000.
suspension is gm.
There is currently one for sale in reno with only 60kmiles for $15000,
which is a great price for a vixen in good shape.


if I had the money.......... I might try it.
