Robert the easiest work around to this problem is to tweak the end of the metal finger that rides against the plastic cam. You can do this with a pair of needle nose pliers in a few minutes. Simply remove the throttle body and flip it upside down. Remove the cover over the switch assembly. Now slightly bend the end of the throttle position switch finger so that it makes a slightly wider V shape. Flip it back over and now your switch should work properly again. If not tweak a little more. You are done in less than 5 minutes with no hassle. I live in the same area as you so I am very familiar with the problem of the adjuster seizing up. If I had to rebuild this every time someone came in with a TPS out of adjustment I would never get anything else done. Instead, you do this tweak, the van is back on track, and you look like a superhero. Got to go, have a call coming in from the Commissioner! :-)
