So what's the legal definition of 'antique auto' for these purposes?

dear old parts this is not the case ... you can mark the box with what ever you like ... customs will open it and decide for them selves what is in there and what the purpose is marking a package incongruously may result in criminal charges or worse yet denial of permission to cross the border in person antique is only for vehicles registered as antique or collector ... Been there done that ... Customs folks are not stupid they are not blind or inept for the most part ... they do though have something called discretion ... and that means when you are in their world you operate by their rules ... yours
