My only issue with the conversion is the cost to properly refresh a 3.2 Porsche motor.
I have done complete SVX swaps into a Syncro for less, including a freshened up EG33.
I don't like the look of the exhaust on the Syncro in the Samba ad, looks like an after thought.
For that kind of money I would expect a bit cleaner of an install.
Too low for offroad.

I have not seen that particular Syncro but have seen a number of them. First saw them during Porsche's 50th Anniversary at Laguna Seca. Ever the showman, Marty parked one near the entrance. Love the emblem fashioned from diamond plate.
For the the curious and financial masochistic, I have the install kit from Marty's (the MS in MSDS Inc.) personal Syncro called Rangepanzer. Selling for $1500. That's about half what it would have cost when MSDS was still offering the kits. Comes with all the sheetmetal and exhaust plus a new install manual. Pmail me if interested.
