Did most of Central America back in 2003 in a 72 Westy before we became Vanagon folk. Great trip, no troubles other than the Honduran border we chose to cross...crooked guards made us wait until the next day to enter. Would do the trip again if we had the time: http://www.pauldottrip.com/index_northamerica.html There's a couple of books about Mexican camping/RVing, worth looking at for general advice etc although most are geared towards big RV's. Make sure you have all your vehicle paperwork with you before you leave, including original title. -paul
