The injector signal sent from the ECU is more weighted towards RPM, AFM position and coolant temp. O2 is just a tweak, and I'm not sure the O2sensor/ECU responds fast enough to influence the mixture through transient response like acceleration. -----Original Message----- From: Vanagon Mailing List [mailto:vanagon@gerry.vanagon.com] On Behalf Of Rocket J Squirrel Sent: Wednesday, October 14, 2009 4:25 PM To: vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM Subject: Re: Injector color question Looking forward to hearing more about this. The injectors are controlled by the ECU based on O2 so I'm guessing that variations in flow rate -- within reasonable limits -- would be something the ECU would be able to compensate for. Full open throttle is a different story, I betcha. My guesses only, I expect enlightenment from those who know these things. -- Mike "Rocket J Squirrel" Elliott 84 Westfalia: Mellow Yellow ("The Electrical Banana") 74 Westrailia: (Ladybug Trailer company, San Juan Capistrano, Calif.)
