Yeah -- what's up with that? Not to paint with too broad a brush, but can
  women within one standard deviation of the median read a map? None of my
three wives has ever known how to read a map.

That's 100% of the women tested so far, anyway.

The estimable Mrs Squirrel, who is so much smarter than me in countless
ways, told me last week that we should save gas when driving south because
it's downhill . . . because (now get this) when you hold up a map, south
is at the bottom.

Can such things be?
