my regular wholesale supplier just told me they couldn't get them anymore. Then next time I asked they said they called NAPA or some FLAPS ...... and they had them for $ 5,99 yet.

the 'right thing' to do , is, if not already fitted, install the larger 'silver can' fuel filter from an 86 or later vanagon downstream of the fuel pump ( aftwards from the fuel pump ) . I think those small ones clog up easily too, somewhat. Generally, I think it's better to not even have on of the van, and just the larger silver can filter instead.

on might want to replace the small filter with a shut off valve ........for anti-theft reasons, or maintenance/repair reasons.
