Living in New England the camping season is so short we usually go rain or shine. I will admit though I didn't go this past weekend because of the rain. I just had my knee replaced three weeks ago and was really scared to slip around in the mud. We also usually camp as a group "The hole in the woods gang" as we have taken on as an identity. We all have awnings and pop ups plus the big tarp if needed. The kids given some rain gear and boots end up having more fun than if the sun is out. I have yet to go camping with my wife without the kids. I don't know if we would know what to do without the kids taking up all our attention!! Like mentioned before it usually doesn't rain the entire time while camping. People that camp in the snow are true diehard campers. I hope we get the chance to this winter now that I have a propex heater to keep warm with. I hate getting out of bed when it freezing in the van.
