Let me add that my DJ code WBX has an additional lambda ECU and the engine did not originally come with an O2 sensor. I have not detected any difference in engine operation with or without this ECU.

Also, the engine now is quieter. It had an angry edge to it which is now diminished.

I also eplaced the idle control valve which was apparently bypassing some vacuum. The icv and the injectors are the only variables. 2009/10/14, Rocket J Squirrel <camping.elliott@gmail.com>: > Looking forward to hearing more about this. > > The injectors are controlled by the ECU based on O2 so I'm guessing that > variations in flow rate -- within reasonable limits -- would be something > the ECU would be able to compensate for. > > Full open throttle is a different story, I betcha. > > My guesses only, I expect enlightenment from those who know these things. > > -- > Mike "Rocket J Squirrel" Elliott > 84 Westfalia: Mellow Yellow ("The Electrical Banana") > 74 Westrailia: (Ladybug Trailer company, San Juan Capistrano, Calif.) > Bend, OR > KG6RCR > > > > On 10/14/2009 12:06 PM Chris S wrote: > >> I pulled the injectors from my DJ-code engine to replace them with a set >> from an MV-code 2.1L.
