I always assumed the hollow headrest design was so you could use them as a handle. Handy for navigating the interior, especially for moms attending kids while underway. Also good for carrying certain wood trim profiles.

The insert idea is a good one though! I always appreciate our vendors dreaming and scheming new products for us.
