Howdy, Karl,

I try to avoid any cooking processes that involve cleanup. I am lazy that
way. I will dump a can of beans into a ziplock and submerge that into
boiling water just to keep from cleaning a pot.

But I do enjoy me some fried potatoes and eggs for breakfast. I put a
spatter shield over the fry pan to cut down on collateral damage.

However, weekend after next my son is joining me for a camping trip and a
fry pan is a bit too small to properly crisp up potatoes for two. I
figured I could bend my "no messes" rule for this one time and use a
griddle. Break out the bottle of 409 and do some swabbing afterward.

It'll be the last camping trip of the season, so hey! go crazy, no?

I do have a little backup butane stove for emergencies (read: no way to
tell how much propane is in Westy bottle so make sure that Mrs Squirrel
has some way to make coffee in the morning) but the weekend is tentatively
predicted to hit below freezing at night so cooking in van is looking
mighty attractive.

This has become pretty much zero, if not negative, VC. Can there be
negative VC?
