This reminds moi of a story I heard recently from a client of a client of a mechanic who said that unscrupulous water cooled engine rebuilders put stop leak in the engine when they rebuild it so that if there are any leaks, they will be stopped until at least after the warranty has expired. YMMV, Mr. BZ-urban myth or fact check not included
