Jon, for the skylight see _The Skylight Guy_ (http://www.theskylightguy.com/) , Trevor has the best selection and price, double layer is as original and was for insulation. The front door window weatherstripping is all renewable. There are 4 parts. The inner and outer lower window seals which pull up and out are secured by several small clips be careful not to loose the clips, new ones are available if some get broken, the outer seal comes with and without the chrome moulding groove depending on your needs, at the vent window end the seals are glued to the vent window rubber seal, carefully release the glued flap, you will need to glue the new one back, use a Crazy Glue type glue from Loctite, the back & top channel which just pulls out,and the front channel in the vent window channel which just pulls out. The kits I get come from the Bus Depot and are genuine VW parts.

>>>>>>2) I need a skylight. There are now two available, single and double layer. I am on my third double-layer one, which is now cracked in numerous places. I'd appreciate any specific recommendations as to replacing it with another double-layer or single layer skylight.

3) I need to know how to remove / replace the weatherstripping around the windows in the front doors (the rubber with what appears to be an embedded aluminum channel. Mine are shot and needs to be replaced. Do these simply snap out, or does the glass have to be removed? Bentley isn't real helpful with these.<<<<<<<
