Subject: larger tires and wheels
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="US-ASCII"

I had 225 65 16 Nokians all around with GW lift springs and they worked great. I wanted bigger and put on Uniroyal 225 75 16's. They fit fine in the rear but rub the front and rear of the front wheel fenders when turning and braking. Has anyone successfully trimmed their wheel wells? I don't mind doing it if they will clear but would be really bummed if they rubbed. I have an 86 2wd with Audi 7.5 inch wide wheels with 7 mm spacers. With big brakes and a 2.5 Subi it will go up and down grades fine with the bigger tires even when towing.
