According to their chart, the proof load for a Grade 2, 1/4in bolt is 55,000
psi.
Accounting for the threads and using an approximate diameter of .2in, the
grade 2, 1/4in bolt should support 1700lbs without deforming.


That is only one bolt and it's a small diameter and a low grade.  So these
should work fine to support an engine, assuming the threads don't fail.
