Is that a spade connector? If so, and if the female connector is accessible, you can squeeze the ears with needle-nose pliers. After that, it may be a bit harder to insert the male spade the first time, but that's a good thing, because it means a good electrical contact will result.

I like to replace spade and ring connectors with the better quality AMP versions we use in the aircraft. Here's one source:

These connectors have two metal barrels: One is crimped on the wires and the other on the insulation for strain relief. Here's the proper crimp tool:
