If you want to talk about sex(y) and dream conversions, how about this little, or not, gem that Ferrari build. This flat-12 engine sits on top of the gearbox. It's not a true boxer, despite the name, but rather it is a 180-degree V12.

With a slight amount of clearancing I'm sure it could be eventually made to fit in the Vanagon. You'd have to give up the back seat, but you could put a permanent bed on top of the engine hump. The exhaust routing would not be an issue and you would gain trunk space where the WBX now sits. You would also travel with a permanent grin as this baby sounds intoxicating when it is winding through the gears.

Let's build a Vanarri. Anyone? I'll help!
