Subject: 66 VW Bug has only 20k miles!

I just thought I would share something cool that came into my shop
yesterday. When I was a kid and got into the VW scene I heard stories
about this local guy who had a 66 Bug that was super clean but it was
more of a legend and I never actually got to see it. Yesterday it drove
into my shop. It is a mint green colored 66 Bug with a whopping 20k
miles on the odo. This thing is like new inside and out. I have never
seen anything this clean in all my years of working on VWs except for
maybe my parents brand new 2007 Jetta right after they bought it. It is
so cool and the guy doesn't take it to any shows or anything! He just
enjoys owning it and driving it every once and a while. I will try to
take some pictures of it today and send a link to the list if you are
interested. I know this is the Vanagon list but I thought I would share
something cool that you don't see every day. It is one thing to look at
something that has been restored and marvel at all of the work that went
into that but you can always find a flaw somewhere or see the work scars
underneath. This thing has never been touched so it is almost like
going into a time machine and seeing a brand new bug back in 66 in the
show room. Very cool indeed!
