Important to recognize is that furnace blowers draw current. This one, the 16,000 btu Suburban NT-16SE, wants 2.8 amps when running. One hour of operation is 2.8 amp-hours, size your aux battery accordingly.

16,000 btu is a heck of a heater. Those in the heating/ventilation/air-conditioning biz know that oversized heaters can be a pretty inefficient way to heat a space.

The Propex models that Karl's page links to draw 1.4A to 1.9A for the little/big 6500/9500 btu/hr unit respectively. Lower current requirement, more money, less heat output, probably a lot quieter than the Suburban unit.

(This last is a guess. I once had a tent camper with a Suburban type furnace in it. Not the quietest thing in the world. I've never heard a Propex but Karl states "very quiet operation.")
