The strips on the Vanagon as opposed to the earlier model VWs are fairly robust, so they rarely go bad. Best to check all the terminals for clean connections and the wiring from the switch as well. I haven't used mine in over a decade, I keep the curtains closed up, so I *rarely* see out my rear window (I live full time in mine). Not even sure it works, never really thought about it (shrug). -- Jim Thompson 84 GL 1.9 "Gloria" 84 Westfalia 2.1 "Ole Putt" 72 411 Station Wagon "Pug" oldvolkshome@gmail.com http://www.oldvolkshome.com *********************************** On Fri, Oct 23, 2009 at 12:04 PM, Rocket J Squirrel < camping.elliott@gmail.com> wrote: > Subject line, I believe, says it all. > > -- > Mike "Rocket J Squirrel" Elliott > 84 Westfalia: Mellow Yellow ("The Electrical Banana") > 74 Westrailia: (Ladybug Trailer company, San Juan Capistrano, Calif.) > Bend, OR > KG6RCR |
