I removed the central air distribution plenum and the intake manifolds and replaced: the injector seals on all four injectors, the rubber connectors which join the intake manifolds to the central air distribution plenum, the vacuum line for the fuel pressure regulator and the rubber vacuum line which connects the throttle body the tube connected to the charcoal filer valve.
I started the engine and it now runs at a normal speed (about 950 RPM) if I disconnect the temp II sensor. I am going to check the wiring from the temp II sensor to the ECU to see if the is a short to ground or a break in the wiring which would affect engine speed. The temp II sensor reads normal resistance at both the high and low temperatures as specified in Bentley. Does anyone have advice on how a broken wire or a short to ground for the temp II sensor would affect engine RPM? Thanks in advance, Rico Dagastino Memphis, TN |
