One must ask........
does the poster know the difference between 'sequestration' and
'equestration'.......
The latter would refer to horses, seems to me, if it's even a word.

while the car or van is parked........
gasoline fumes would escape into the atmosphere if left to do what they want
to., .
One practical way to deal with that is to capture the fumes into a charcoal
canister while the car or van is parked.
Once the engine is started, the fumes that have accumulated in the charcoal,
are sucked into the engine and burned.
yes.......that's what happens to old vanagon charcoal canisters .....
they are used for Carbon Sequestration.
There being an excess of carbon in our atmosphere, since more of it is being
produced, and there are fewer trees to store it,.....
it has to be sequestered somewhere .........so they store carbon in old
vanagons charcola canisters.
and other than checking hoses for cracks, or being clogged, or that the
canister itself is intact, there is no maintainance.
I have seen one where charcoal bits were just pouring out of it though.
