Oops -- my bad -- S&S does not equal stainless steel. Learn something new every day.

This is a project I have to get done, so I'm sniffing around the options.

Looks like I have to first determine the condition of the muffler holder-upper strap. I know it's also a good idea to pull the cat and look at its input side to see if new is needed, but I am uncomfortable with the idea of taking the van to a shop for this work, and having it out of commish for a while if it turns out that a cat is warranted, but don't really want to buy one upfront "in case."

So I dither.
