Hello Paul,

The biggest problem with replacing any power steering pump, new or used is the fact that most folks don't flush the system of the trash from the old pump. You would be surprised at the junk that will come out of the system. This will kill a new or used pump, and even a rack at times. I have replaced many pumps on several makes of cars/trucks, and not had any problem, as long as I flush the system. If bucks are a problem, flush the system with a good commercial flush, (available any good FLAPS) and replace the dead pump with a good used pump with a warranted.

"Un-ashamed Advertisement" I have a good used one, $75.00 plus the ride, 30 day warranty!

Cheers

Howard
