the charcoal you would need is called "activated" charcoal. I think
this means that it is not only crushed quite fine, but is quite "holy"
for want of a better word. The particles are porous and full of
channels that increase surface area. There may be some chemical
treatment that renders it more aDsorptive, too. David McNeely
