Hey Dave et al,

Thanks for the great suggestions and resources. Dave Im not to fussy at all and re-thinking this for winter I think that plastic is probably my best option. So I think that I will hunt for CHEAP ones of the Jetta type (thanks for that tip Dave), or maybe Santi Claws would bring me some vanagon disc ones!

Thanks to everyone for the suggestions on mudflaps, but $149 is not cheap for me. I am looking at this more from the DIY approach or the modding something to fit that already is out there. So let me know if you know of something along those lines.
