I'm wondering if Axxess may have the wrong blank number for the Vanagon. Wa= lMart sells the Axxess keys (but I haven't seen the plastic ones there). Wh= en I tried to get a Vanagon key several years ago=2C they said they didn't = have the key. I have got other VW keys from WalMart for other VWs=2C (Golfs= and Jettas) which were the #43 key blank. The Vanagon uses the N profile k= ey=2C while many other VWs use the AN=2C AH=2C or HV profile=2C which can a= ll cross-reference to the Axxess #43=2C as I've found in a few cross-refere= nce lists.=20

Maybe the plastic keys use a different number=2C but if they are the same a= s the regular ones=2C my experience from a few years ago is that the #43 is= not for the Vanagon.

Has anyone tried the plastic or metal keys from Axxess for the Vanagon?
