The overhaul kit really only addresses a leaky seal. If any mechanical part is really worn then machine work is required to restore proper pump operation. Often the shaft seal leak is really caused by a worn pump shaft or housing bushing. Worn vanes or pump body will cause poor performance and noise. Dennis
