Thanks for all your responses. I had the alarm installed and the installer had no problem installing the horn. He crawled under the driver's side front end and installed it up there. I now have remote door lock/unlocks including the sliding door.

My sliding door was not unlocking all the time when I opened the driver's door, about 50% of the time. I took some fine steel wool and cleaned the contacts on both the door and the door channel and now the sliding door unlocks 100% of the time with the remote alarm thingy. Oh, be careful if you use steel wool to clean the contacts on the door channel, it caught my steel wool on fire twice, then I changed to fine sandpaper.

Bye the way, the only car that I ever had broken into at least in the past ten years had no alarm. All my other cars have an alarm with a blinking light.

David

there's lots of room up in there to mound the alarm horn. It's good to drop the spare tire and wheel now and then and check it too, of course.
