Wonder why Hanks chose a 4wd to drive on main highways? I know, he can probably afford whatever he wants...at least he didn't choose a Uni-Moog Euro style Paris-Dakar truck camper like I see some of our Euro friends driving around on our freeways...but you don't really need a syncro to get from LA to SlickCity and he probably would have made the remaining miles without running dry in a 2wd.... Now if that was Leno driving the Gold-Plater from Go Westie he'd have been able to keep it going...Leno is a Car Guy...has some really outrageous vehicles....keeping a Vanagon going would be childs play for that guy..And Letterman? He could have bedded down with his 'driver' in the outback near Wendover and no one would be the wiser.. I bet the guys at Go Westie are very happy with Hank's and that publicity...They will sell dozens now to other Hollywood types.. I am somewhat surprised that they sold him one that wasn't exactly perfect, though....Some Go Westie employee is probably looking for a new job today.. Don Hanson
