Wick kerosene lanterns are nice, and the Dietz brand seems like the good
ones. Wick lanterns are dead-quiet, not intensely bright or insanely hot
like a pressure lantern. No fragile mantle. I burn odorless mineral
spirits in them for lower-cost operation.

If I was in the mind to light the entire campground,* I might get one of
these kerosene pressure mantle lantern jobbies:
