There are plenty of times when I wish the car alarm horn was mounted to the head of the car's owner. Pointed toward him.

Barely-related issue: recent local news story about a string of car break-ins reported that dozens of neighborhood cars had been broken into over two nights. "Many of them had been left unlocked," said the news announcer, meaningfully.

The subtext? "The rest had broken windows."
