We recently camped about 200 feet from an RV who had a Honda 1000 generator up the hill behind some bushes and 15 feet from a river, not a very quiet one, too. The folk in the camper ran the generator continuously for their air conditioning. We didn't think we could hear their generator -- until they turned it off. The sound travels and is pervasive. -- Mike "Rocket J Squirrel" Elliott 84 Westfalia: Mellow Yellow ("The Electrical Banana") 74 Westrailia: (Ladybug Trailer company, San Juan Capistrano, Calif.)
