Subject: In "Transit" that Van like little ford thing
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1

No real Vanagon content...I parked my Vanagon next to one of those new small Ford Transit vans today at my local Ford dealers. Just had to stop and take a gander at it, thinking it might be 'the new Vanagon' of the 2000s..Nope. Really short in the cargo area. I doubt I could even lie down in the rear of one. About the same height as my 84 non-westie but much less ground clearance. Similar wheelbase. Has double rear doors on the back so you can walk right inside from the rear. Sliding door on one side of the one I saw. This one had lots of boxes built in back with drawers, etc. and a lockable cage structure to isolate the front from the rear. The sticker price was $25k. EPA miles per was est.25. It was all locked up so I didn't look too close at the interior.. somewhat off the vanagon topic, but I think others may have had a similar thought about "hmmmm, a "new" Vanagon?"....Not really...more like a better Honda Element...
