Jack the van up. Remove the gas tank (it gives you better visibility), remove the spare tire cover (Better visibility) and have a second person working with you describing how to twist and when to pull.

Wait untill you get to put them back in! : ) I just cut mine in half (made it alot easier) and reattached them in the middle with hose and a bunch of clamps (2 on each side).
