You're right Paul, I think I got it backwards. There's a BC Inspection
sticker on Dixie's windshield so...
It helps to use a shop that knows the breed. I had the Inspection done at
Strawberry Hill Automotive in Surrey. Rick runs a full service shop but
he's not an idiot. He understands if you're not made of money. The flip
side is you have to realize that his license is on the line too - any crash
caused by a mechanical problem with the van goes back on him!
With Dixie I needed to replace the cracked windshield and the muffler which
I thought reasonable..
ALL BC passenger vehicles used to need to pass inspection - there was a
facility in town where they zipped through your car/van/pickup and gave you
a thumbs up or down. Kinda heart-breaking as a kid...
