Subject: Crashed Otter - Wednesday Update - Thank You!

I've tried to respond individually to all of the so-helpful emails sent by list members. There were some great analyses and realistic estimates; recommendations re good local and well-priced VW shops; and a lot of expressions of comfort and good advice. Thanks to all.

There have been lots of developments today. Both the seller and the highly recommended garage owner have stepped up and although we are still dickering on possible terms, it's possible that they will cover some (if not all) of my additional expenses. It's good to be in a situation (at least, so far) where the three of us are working to find a mutually agreeable solution: It's good to know about good local Vanagon repair artists; and personally, I feel much better now that I know more (thanks to you) all and have been able to fashion a few possible paths toward a solution.

Will keep you posted. Hopefully the news will only get better.

Cheers,

Pat
