I used this method, albeit on my Jetta swap. It worked. If you choose to use it, don't fill it too high. If filled too high, and engine revved up/down, coolant burps up ...... and out. <rolls eyes> ;)

Regardless of using it, I still had to keep bleeding off air at bleeder on rad.
