Subject: Peloquin torque biasing differential
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=iso-8859-1

Hi folks:

Just wanted to give a report of a Peloquin limited slip differential, or I guess more correctly called a torque biasing differential. I have an 89 automatic, and German transaxle out of Bend did the rebuild. As long as you have a little traction on one rear wheel, this baby really delivers. We just had about 4 inches of snow here in Fairbanks, so had an opportunity to try it out on some snowpacked, icy roads. Very impressive performance! Prior to the Peloquin, I could get stuck on flat ground. I have been enjoying this differential over the summer, particularly noticing the increased performance going around turns (hugs the road) and just overall foward momentum on washboard type dirt roads. The back end simply does not fishtail or lag behind. I was very curious to see how it did in the snow. If the backend starts to slide at all, the van corrects itself quite quickly. Granted, I was easy on the gas and careful not to spin the tire as anyone should be in snow. I don't even have snow tires on, so I'm truly impressed. With a good set of Blizzack or similar tires, you could really cover some ground. A two thumbs up!

Troy -5 in Fairbanks today. Winter is here!
