Not that you asked, but beware that the handle may be cracking. Hence the looseness. But... screw holding it in place to latch mechanism may also be the issue. Easy to fix. Pop part of the inside panel off and you can sneak a screwdriver in. I applied *blue* Locktite to screw on mine.

My last old style handle cracked recently. I put my last lonely remaining '85 handle on. (end has to be trimmed to fit) Hopefully it's stronger than the older style.
