Been all over Baja. Great adventures. Syncro not really needed, but
it will enable you to find better camping spots on beaches if there are
many other Gringos camping there. Drove the Baja 1 route before it was
paved in a 66 Ford pickup 2wd. Met up with AJ Foyt and his partner
pre-running the Baja 1000 many many years ago.. Been to a lot of fine
places over the years and have some great friends from there.
La Paz has to be my favorite city anywhere..There is a "cannonball run"
outlaw motorcycle race that sometimes goes the length of the whole
penninsula...Starts in TJ and ends at the Giggling Marlin in Cabo...anything
goes, open roads no real rules..I think something like 10hrs is the
record...
Baja is like the Wild West...
