I know on the Garmin, you can tap the vehicle icon and it will tell you lat/lon and alt of where you are and allow you to save it. As far as navigating TO a lat/lon point, that is more on the geocache menu IIRC but I don't have mine in front of me. You can definitely load POIs through the PC, though.
