Hi Roger -

Based on what I've seen at vagcat, this is ETKA 7.x for the "Local Market" which is Europe. ETKA 7.x installed on a PC has the whole ball of wax - Local Market, United States (includes Canada), South Africa, Mexico, Brazil, China, & Argentina. You select the market first to look up the parts. Vagcat doesn't give you this option, at least from what I can see.

Previous versions of ETKA (5.x, 6.x) Offered separate CD's for each market. I have both Version 5.6 for US/Canada only and I have Version 6 for US/Canada only and Version 6 for "Local Market" (Europe Only) in my CD archive as well as installed on a few different machines so I can compare back and forth and catch the boo-boos. And for good measure I also have PET5 (Porsche ETKA) for cross-referencing on 914 stuff to the Type 2 and 411/412 interchanges.

And it helps to have the factory "print" Parts Books along with the MPF 200 Fiche to look up the obsolete and superseded items. Even my recently acquired Bosch data fiche come in real handy when looking up that elusive part :-) -- Jim Thompson 84 GL 1.9 "Gloria" 84 Westfalia 2.1 "Ole Putt" 72 411 Station Wagon "Pug" oldvolkshome@gmail.com http://www.oldvolkshome.com *********************************** On Wed, Nov 11, 2009 at 5:08 PM, Roger Whittaker <rogerwhitt1@gmail.com>wrote:
